Meet Dr. Afshin Adhami

Dr. Afshin "Shawn" Adhami, M.D. is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and the CEO and Medical Director of Vistasol Medical Group. For over 25 years, he has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Montebello and the surrounding communities, providing compassionate, comprehensive care to patients of all ages — with a special dedication to senior patients.

In April 2012, Dr. Adhami was honored with the Healthcare Leadership Award by the Los Angeles Business Journal in the Medical Group CEO division — joining a distinguished group of healthcare leaders at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. He was also nominated for the Healthcare Leadership Lifetime Achievement Award for Los Angeles.

Dr. Adhami's practice includes a dedicated team of Physician Assistants. He personally cares for patients at his clinic and local hospitals, taking pride in a family-centered approach to healthcare. His skills have earned him numerous awards, including the Patients' Choice Award (2008, 2010, 2011), Most Compassionate Doctor (2010, 2011), and Healthgrades 5-Star Doctor (2010, 2011).

In December 2011, Dr. Adhami was elected Chief of Staff at Monterey Park Hospital, where he led quality improvement programs across a staff of approximately 270 physicians. He has been praised for his leadership, commitment to patient satisfaction, and extraordinary sense of social responsibility.
